Wayne grew up in Buras, LA where hurricane Katrina hit the hardest Labor Day weekend 2005.

1. Wayne's family home in Buras, LA. taken June 5, 2007

2. The youth center.

3. The Baptist church Wayne was baptized in and his parents are buried behind.

4. Neighbor's home in old neighborhood.

5. Pastor's office in Baptist church.

6. Inside of church. Piano by window. No pews left.

7. Boat washed up on side of road.

8. House washed off foundation. Foundation between house and trailer.

It's been almost 2 years since Katrina hit this town but it's a ghost town.

Lots of FEMA trailers. Businesses are gone. Homes are gone. People are gone.

Baseball parks are empty, schools are empty.

Lots of empty lots with a slab of concrete where a house used to be.

Piles of trash every where.

Will this town rebuild?
